About Every Farm
Every Farm helps you eat fresh and buy direct from the farms near you, and helps those farms grow. We start with the farms within about 90 minutes of Toronto.
What we're for
- Fresh and direct: more food bought straight from the farms that grew it.
- Local farms grow: farms get visitors and customers without having to be marketers.
- Outdoors and together: a farm visit becomes an easy family plan.
- Know your food: clear, honest information on how each farm grows.
How we check farms
Every fact on a farm page comes from the farm's own website, posts or signs, or from a public record such as a certifier's registry. We link to where we found it and show the date we last checked.
"Certified organic" only appears when a farm holds a current certification. We name the certifier and link to where you can check it.
Everything else a farm says about how it grows is labelled Farmer-reported and quoted in its own words. We haven't inspected it, and we say so.
We write every farm description ourselves and never copy one from another directory.
Hours change with the weather and the season, so confirm with the farm before you go.
Photos
We only use photos a farm has given us permission to use, our own, or openly licensed ones, and we credit the photographer. When we don't have one, you'll see a plain tile, never a stock photo.
