Privacy
What we collect, why we collect it, and how to have it removed. We collect as little as we can.

Who we are
Every Farm runs everyfarm.ca. We're the ones asking for your consent on our forms, and the sender of every email you get from us.

The Split a cow waitlist
When you join the waitlist, we store:
- your email address
- the share size you picked: an eighth, a quarter or a half
- the cuts you ticked, if any
- the first three characters of your postal code, such as L4A. We never ask for your full address.
- when you'd like to buy
- the exact consent wording you agreed to, and when you agreed
- the page you joined from, and any campaign tags in its link
We use this to see where demand is, to find a farm near you, and to email you when a share opens near you. Joining again with the same email and share size updates your entry instead of adding a second one.
We show the total number of households on the waitlist, rounded down and only once it reaches 50. We never show anything that identifies you.
The weekend list
When you sign up, we store your email address, the consent wording you agreed to, when you agreed, and the page you signed up on. We haven't started sending it yet. When we do, it's one email a week, on Thursdays.
Consent and unsubscribing
We only email you if you ticked the consent box yourself. It's never ticked for you. We keep a record of what you agreed to, as Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) requires.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and we act on an unsubscribe within 10 business days.
Analytics
We use PostHog to count page views and clicks, such as which farm pages people open and which links they follow. It keeps a random identifier in your browser to tell visits apart. It doesn't record your name or email address, and PostHog stores this data in the United States.
IP addresses
PostHog is set not to keep your IP address. To stop abuse, our server holds your IP address in memory for about a minute while you submit a form, and our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for a short time.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for your full address, phone number or payment details, and we don't sell or rent your information.
Where it's kept
Our database runs on Railway and our photos are served by Cloudflare. Some of the services we use store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist and newsletter entries until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete them, or we close the waitlist.
Your choices
Email [email protected] to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We'll reply within 30 days.
