Sam's Orchard opens on Concession 8 East near Freelton on Saturdays, Sundays and Thanksgiving Monday from early September to the end of October. Visitors buy farm admission, then pick apples by the pound and sunflowers by the stem, with pumpkins to pick as well. There is a corn maze, a hay jump, a kids' zone, and chickens and piglets to visit. Picnics are welcome, and there are views from the hilltop.
